SOP 03Draft — pending review

Create a saved contact view

Filter contacts, pick useful columns and save the view for quick checks.

Purpose and outcome

Why it matters. Saved views let you inspect data quickly, for example to check whether Lakeview contacts have emails and postal codes.

Expected outcome. A named view with the right filters and columns, visible to the people who need it.

When to use it

  • You repeatedly check the same group of contacts.
  • You want to spot missing data before building a segment.

Prerequisites and access

  • Access to Contacts.

Suggested roles (not yet approved): Marketing Coordinator

Instructions

  1. 1

    Go to Contacts.

    Recommended practice

To add a column, use the column edit option (in the training, right-click → Add column).

    From training· ~1:21:30
  4. 4

Save the view and give it a clear name, for example “Lakeview | Data check”.

    Recommended practice
  5. 5

Choose visibility (private, team or everyone) if your account offers it.

    Recommended practice

A view is not a recipient list

Marketing emails are sent to segments, not saved views. If you need to email this group, build a segment with the same filters (SOP 04).

Caivan example

Before a Lakeview send, you open “Lakeview | Data check”, sort by Email and notice several contacts without an email or postal code. You flag this to the CRM Administrator rather than editing records in bulk.

Common mistakes and troubleshooting

FSA column doesn’t exist.

The FSA property may not be set up or named differently. Ask a CRM Administrator (see SOP 07).
